Bicycle Riding – Mountain and Road Lake Texoma

The Flowing Wells area of Lake Texoma  is surrounded by off road bicycle trails that winds through 450 acres of core  land, 350 acres in the Flowing Wells Marina resort, and 12,000 acres in the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge.   Yes you can ride all weekend non-stop and not see it all.

The best way to explore all these beautiful acres of wilderness is on a mountain bike.   Trails are mostly novice although there are some hills, and some intermediate trails in Flowing Well and on the Core Land.

When exploring the “Hag” as we like to call it you may see a variety of habitats for birds and wildlife. Canada, snow, white-fronted, and Ross’ geese along with pintail, mallard, gadwall and other ducks use refuge impoundments and fields as stop-over and wintering grounds. White pelicans by the thousands can be seen here during their spring and fall migrations. Deer, turkeys, bobcats, hawks, wild pigs, and songbirds are abundant.

If a family or group is interested in a guided off-road ride, please call 972-965-2755.  Must be arranged in advance.  Kid love this!  Very memorable and affordable fun.    Beginner to intermediate level.   Weekends only.   Must sign waiver.

Also, if you are interested in road biking, and want a guided tour of the HILLY roads and beautiful scenery around Texoma, we will be happy to escort a group on 15 to 20 mile rides.    Must be fit enough to ride the hills and you must have your own road bike.

All off road bicycle rides are custom designed and based on fitness level.   This map is one common bike route.

This route is about 12 miles round trip
